I was born in the southeastern United States. There, I spent my childhood far out in the humid forests of the Carolinas.
Later, I spent my teens with the Navajos in the Four Corners area. It was while living there amongst the red rocks that I decided that it was time to learn guitar. In the ensuing years, I've played in all manner of musical groups, learned to play bass guitar and percussion, and set out to learn the art of music production.
I didn't understand electronic music until many years later when I first went to Burning Man. There, I witnessed for the first time some nameless dj presiding over a congregation of gyrating souls and when I saw the dj up there, with everyone in the place completely enraptured, I saw the thing that I had been searching for while playing my guitar in all of those bands. This was my way to make the musical connection. A better way to bridge the divide between the stage and the people on the floor. It was at this point that I set out to learn this art.
Since then I've experienced some of the most transcendental moments of my life, usually far out in the deserts of the American Southwest between Tucson and Reno.
I'm looking forward to joining all of you in a journey that will be a first for me in more ways than I can comprehend.
I am honored.
